Location: AdventHealth Winter Garden, Winter Garden, FL

Job Description:

Schedule: Monday – Friday, 7am – 3:30pm.

Assists in the operation and general maintenance of painting, plumbing, HVAC, locksmith, and alarm systems, performing essential repairs and other duties as requested. Troubleshoots, analyzes, and repairs electrical problems, diagnosing and repairing system malfunctions on all electrical equipment as scheduled or needed under general supervision. Coordinates and performs testing of electrical systems as required by codes. Responds to in-house work orders and preventive maintenance tasks on a daily basis, in a timely manner. Handles emergency calls and takes call in accordance with facility needs. Maintains complete and accurate records of all maintenance and repairs, ensuring compliance with all applicable regulations and standards. Keeps current on maintenance logs and documentation. Monitors work performed by outside contractors to ensure requirements are met and results are documented properly. Reports any hazardous situations and needed repairs to appropriate personnel. Reports all relevant issues to the facilities management in a timely and accurate manner. Provides on-the-job skills training to enhance team capabilities. Follows all safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment. Other duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Ability to perform electrical equipment maintenance, installations, and modifications per all applicable codes and regulations
  • Ability to assist in contributing to system training manuals and upgrades as changes occur
  • Able to communicate in English, including reading, writing, and speaking at a conversational level
  • Must have the ability to document records neatly and accurately
  • Ability to generate requisitions for materials and supplies
  • Ability to assign priority and teams in a timely manner
  • Ability to instruct others as per blueprints and work from sketches
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or scheduled form
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists
  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volumes
  • Knowledge of safe handling and maintenance of tools and equipment
  • Basic Microsoft Office computer skills

Education:

  • High School Grad or Equiv [Required]

Field of Study: N/A

Work Experience:

  • 2+ commercial maintenance experience [Preferred]
  • 2+ healthcare experience [Preferred]
  • 3+ general maintenance experience [Required]

Licenses and Certifications:

  • Driver's License (DL) [Required]

Pay Range: $23.91 – $44.46

Certain positions are subject to Florida Level 2 background screening, including fingerprinting, as required by state law.
