Job Description

The Electrician is responsible for installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting electrical systems associated with solar photovoltaic (PV) parking canopy projects. This role involves conduit installation, wire pulling, equipment terminations, inverter connections, and system testing while ensuring all work complies with applicable electrical codes, project specifications, and safety requirements.

Essential Skills

  • Proficiency in electrical systems installation and troubleshooting.
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and blueprints.
  • Experience with conduit bending and installation.
  • Experience with solar photovoltaic (PV) installations.
  • Knowledge of AC and DC electrical terminations.
  • Journeyman Electrician License or state-recognized electrical certification.
  • Solar PV installation experience.
  • Experience with commercial or industrial construction projects.
  • OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification.
  • NABCEP certification or solar industry training.
  • Experience installing EV charging stations and energy storage systems.

Responsibilities

  • Install electrical systems for solar parking canopy projects, including conduit, wiring, disconnects, switchgear, combiner boxes, and inverters.
  • Read and interpret electrical drawings, blueprints, one-line diagrams, and project specifications.
  • Bend and install EMT, rigid, PVC, and flexible conduit systems.
  • Pull, terminate, and label conductors according to project requirements.
  • Install and connect solar photovoltaic (PV) modules, racking grounding systems, and equipment.
  • Perform AC and DC electrical terminations.
  • Install transformers, panelboards, EV charging equipment, and related electrical infrastructure when required.
  • Conduct testing, troubleshooting, and commissioning activities.

This is a Contract position based out of Albuquerque, NM.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $45.31 – $45.31/hr.
