Lead employee relations investigations and ethics compliance across the Pittsburgh office
People Engagement Partner (PEP)
Our Pittsburgh-based client is seeking a People Engagement Partner (PEP) to serve as a key employee relations and ethics leader within the organization. This role will partner closely with senior leadership and People Services to manage employee relations matters, conduct investigations, oversee ethics reporting, and recommend solutions that support a positive and compliant workplace culture.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced HR professional with a strong background in employee relations, workplace investigations, compliance, and conflict resolution who enjoys operating as a trusted advisor across the organization.
Location: Pittsburgh, PA (Onsite)
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-4:00 PM
Position Type: Contract-to-Hire
Hours: Full-Time (40 hours/week)
Pay Rate: $30-$34/hour
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct medium to high-complexity employee relations investigations involving workplace concerns, policy violations, ethics complaints, fraud, compliance issues, and employee misconduct.
- Manage ethics and compliance reporting processes, including intake, investigation, response, documentation, and case closure.
- Prepare comprehensive investigation summaries and formal reports, including recommendations for corrective action and escalation when appropriate.
- Ensure all employee relations matters are handled fairly, consistently, confidentially, and in compliance with applicable employment laws and organizational policies.
- Analyze employee engagement, investigation, and workplace trends and provide recommendations for proactive solutions and risk mitigation.
- Partner with HR leadership on corrective action processes, progressive discipline, performance improvement plans, and employee development initiatives.
- Support employee relations practices through a diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging (DEIB) lens.
- Deliver training and guidance to managers and employees on employee relations, ethics, workplace conduct, and compliance matters.
- Maintain current knowledge of employment laws, HR best practices, and regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with leadership teams to foster a culture of trust, accountability, engagement, and compliance.
