Nursing Assistant
We are recruiting for a full-time Nursing Assistant within VA Western New York Healthcare System, Buffalo VA Medical Center in Buffalo NY. The nursing assistant successfully completes duties at the lower grades, and in this position performs activities of daily living and provides a range of care that contributes to the Veteran's treatment plan, recovery, and wellness under the direction of a licensed health care provider.
Perform activities of daily living and provide a range of care contributing to the Veteran's treatment plan, recovery, and wellness under supervision, Support licensed nursing staff in care of patients/residents receiving preventive, acute, sub-acute, chronic, or hospice care, Assist with basic nursing tasks and age/condition-appropriate patient care under the direction of healthcare professionals, Collaborate with care team to ensure patient safety and effective delivery of care, Mentor/peer education roles as needed within the nursing care team
