Job Description
Lead a high-voltage crew to troubleshoot and repair DoD high-voltage electrical systems
High Voltage Electrician
You will lead crews in troubleshooting cable systems to locate shorts, electrolysis damage, capacitance imbalance or cable breaks.
You will lead a team as a High Voltage Electrician completing high voltage electrical inspections, repairs, and maintenance activities.
You will use tools (climbing gear, belt and harness to operate, test and repair high voltage overhead lines, cross arms, transformers, switches and structures).
You will maintain proper work methods, explain steps and or processes to ensure the safety of crew members and safe operations of the equipment.
Must be a US Citizen.
Must be determined suitable for federal employment.
Must participate in the direct deposit pay program.

You will be required to possess a current valid United States driver's license and ability to obtain Commercial Driver's License.
You will be required to successfully complete a pre-appointment physical examination.
You will be required to possess an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or pass the test. You will be subject to random testing.
You will be required to wear personal protective equipment such as helmets, gloves, coveralls, glasses, goggles, respirators and safety shoes continuously for the duration of the work shift.
This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
