Location: Remote (local to Durham, NC area preferred) Pay Rate: $20–22/hour Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM Employment Type: Temporary with potential for conversion

In this role, you'll be a critical point of contact ensuring that inquiries, authorizations, and service requests are handled accurately and efficiently. Your attention to detail and ability to stay organized will directly impact member and provider experiences.

What You'll Do

  • Process a variety of requests, inquiries, and transactions via phone, email, fax, and mail
  • Review and validate request accuracy while ensuring complete documentation
  • Support internal and external customers through timely, professional communication
  • Document all calls and inquiries, attaching supporting information and routing unresolved issues appropriately
  • Screen inquiries to determine authorization requirements
  • Verify member benefits, eligibility, and provider setup information
  • Maintain and update service requests; research and resolve missing or incorrect details
  • Triage and assign incoming inquiries efficiently throughout the day
  • Conduct monthly peer audits as required
  • Provide clinical review outcome notifications (verbal and written) to members and providers
  • Analyze data and provide insights to Team Leads on training or provider education needs

What We're Looking For

  • A current, up-to-date resume
  • High school diploma or GED
  • 3+ years of experience in a related field
  • Medicare and health insurance experience
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills
  • Experience with triage workflows (preferred)
  • Pharmaceutical knowledge or industry exposure (nice to have)
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage a high-volume workload
  • Ability to stay current on tasks and manage competing priorities effectively
  • Ability to meet compliance requirements
