Job Description: Facility Address: 5215 Torrance Blvd, Ste 210, Torrance, CA 90503 Float Locations: 2200 E Maple Ave, El Segundo, CA 90245 Shift: Monday-Friday 0800-1700 and occasional Saturday 0800-1200 Schedule: 32-40 hours per week Weekend REQ: Yes, 1-2 Saturdays per month Floating REQ: Yes
Job Requirements: Experience: 2 years in an outpatient setting MEDICAL ASSISTANT DIPLOMA FROM A DAPIP ACCREDITED PROGRAM Certs: BLS ( AHA or ARC only) Education: HS/GED Special Requirements: EPIC, Blood draw proficiency, Instrument cleaning and autoclaving REQ. Wound care/suturing preferred
Compliance: Modules: Modules are billable, max billable hours: Non-Clinical traveler: 8 hours Clinical/Allied traveler: 10 hours Lead/Supervisor traveler: 10 hours Modules are completed pre-start, and vary by specialty Modules are recorded via transcripts
Return Staff Policy: Previous perm employees must be separated for 24 months before they are eligible for travel positions at all Cedars-Sinai facilities (including Torrance Memorial Medical Center and Cedars Marina Del Rey), with the exception of CSMN, which requires a 12 month separation. All past Cedars employment (travel, staff, etc.) MUST be included on profile. This includes Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, Cedars Marina Del Rey, Torrance Memorial, Cedars-Sinai Medical Network (CSMN), Huntington Health Physicians (HHP) and Huntington Hospital.
Background Policy: Any license or background hit requires a detailed written statement from the traveler. License/background hits will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis. Any license or background hits that are open and/or pending are an automatic redirect. All hits must be completely closed.
RTO Rules: Max RTO: 7 days No RTO within the first 2 weeks of the assignment. Must be included at the time of submission.
Room patients and obtain vital signs, Administer medications and perform venipuncture, Wound care and suture removal, Float to Torrance and El Segundo locations, Chart patient information and coordinate with care team
