Coordinate front-desk operations to ensure smooth patient intake and staff communication
Receptionist
Summit Home Care and Hospice is searching for an experienced and motivated Receptionist to join our team. This position will start as part-time and transition to full-time in June to provide temporary maternity leave coverage. At Summit, we believe healthcare should be personal, compassionate, and delivered where it matters most – at home.
Part-Time Receptionist:
- Full-Time Hours: Monday – Friday; 8:00AM – 4:30 PM
- Location: 800 Yard St. Suite 300 Columbus, OH 43212
- Pay Rate: $17.00 -$19.00 per Hour
Responsibilities:
- Answer incoming calls and transfer necessary calls to the proper person.
- Check general voice mailbox daily and direct messages to the proper staff for follow up.
- Manage email correspondence and ensure a timely response.
- Organize the mail and deliver to the appropriate department/person(s).
- Greet all people coming into the office and help in directing them to the proper department/person(s).
- Serve as a communication liaison between patients and clinical staff.
- Always adhere to confidentiality regulations such as HIPAA.
- Maintain and organize NOMNC, service agreements, and labs sent over by the office nurse.
- Maintain the reception area in an organized and presentable manner.
- Assist the office staff with other office projects and miscellaneous duties as requested.
- Provide Administrative support to other departments when necessary.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a professional, customer-focused demeanor.
- Strong organizational abilities with attention to detail and the capacity to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Exceptional computer skills with proficiency with Microsoft Office and other electronic platforms, multi-line phone systems, and basic office equipment.
- Prior experience working in a healthcare/home care setting is preferred but not required.
- Must successfully pass a background check in accordance with state and federal regulations.
