Material Handler III
Material Handler III is responsible for the safe and accurate loading, unloading, storage, movement, and shipment of materials within a distribution center. Handles inbound and outbound materials using ERP and WMS systems while ensuring compliance with safety and documentation standards. Performs pallet building, inventory movement, order fulfillment, and shipment preparation activities. Operates material handling equipment safely and maintains warehouse security, cleanliness, and quality standards.
Required Education:
• High School Diploma or Equivalent
Required Skills and Experience:
• Minimum 5+ years of experience
• Experience with Material Handling Equipment (MHE), including Order Pickers, Reach Trucks, Counterbalance (slip and clamp), and Dock Stocker
• Experience using ERP systems for inventory location, storage, and material movement
• Experience with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS)
• Experience with SAP
• Experience with RF scanners and Voice/RF technology
• Pick, pack, palletizing, and order processing experience
• Inbound and outbound shipment handling
• Inventory movement and replenishment experience
• Ability to read and interpret distribution documents
• Good verbal communication skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced distribution environment
• Ability to work under minimal supervision
• Basic analytical, organizational, and prioritization skills
• General distribution knowledge
• Ability to perform in a metrics-driven environment
Preferred Skills and Experience:
• Experience preparing, coordinating, and executing domestic and international shipment documentation
• Hazmat training (general awareness, function-specific, security awareness, security plan, and safety training)
• Cross-training and ability to serve as backup for other warehouse positions
• Good Documentation Practices (GDP)
• Ability to train and implement functions in SAP
• Ability to maintain current status in C2C training modules
• Ability to maintain a clean, neat, and orderly work area
• Strong focus on safety, quality, sanitation, and housekeeping practices
Responsibilities:
• Process customer orders, including scanning barcodes, picking, packing, and labeling boxes
• Process orders using RF technology
• Perform palletizing, re-palletizing, and shrink wrapping of shipments
• Load and unload inbound and outbound shipments utilizing WMS
• Locate, retrieve, and replenish products and picking locations
• Prepare goods and documentation for domestic and international shipments
• Ensure shipment accuracy verification and packaging
• Operate Material Handling Equipment safely and report maintenance issues immediately
• Follow Good Documentation Practices (GDP) and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
• Maintain warehouse safety and security standards
• Report injuries, accidents, unsafe acts, hazards, or suspicious activities immediately
• Maintain warehouse cleanliness, sanitation, and housekeeping standards
• Complete all required RF device and C2C training modules
• Assist with cross-training and provide backup support for warehouse operations as needed
• Perform other duties as assigned
