Job Summary
The Warehouse Clerk is primarily responsible for transporting materials, work in process (WIP), and finished goods between STC's three buildings safely, efficiently and in alignment with scheduled or on-demand needs. Secondary responsibilities include supporting warehouse operations through cycle counting, ERP transaction accuracy, general material handling, and production support tasks. This role helps maintain accurate inventory, timely material flow, and strong communications between departments.
Essential Functions
- Proactively supports a culture of safety and quality as top organizational priorities.
- Actively participates in ongoing training initiatives and collaborates with team members and leadership to share information in a structured process.
- Safely operates a company box truck to move materials, WIP, Packaging, and finished goods between all STC locations.
- Follow scheduled transfer routes and respond to same day or urgent transport needs as directed by supervisors.
- Load and unload materials using forklift, pallet jacks, or by hand as needed.
- Ensure all transfer documentation, including ERP/Visual transactions is completed accurately.
- Maintain vehicle cleanliness, conduct regular pre-trip and post-trip inspections, and report maintenance needs immediately.
- Perform routine cycle counts to support accurate inventory management
- Investigate count discrepancies and communicate findings to supervisor or inventory control personnel.
- Assist and identify root causes of stock variances and improve material flow accuracy.
- Help maintain warehouse organization, cleanliness, and safe traffic flow.
- Participate in receiving tasks, including inbound shipments and staging materials.
- Coordinate transport and warehouse activities with Production workers, Supervisors, and Maintenance personnel.
- Communicate delays, shortages or issues promptly to ensure uninterrupted workflow.
- Other duties as requested
Required Qualifications
- Valid driver's license and ability to safely operate and box truck
- Ability to operate a forklift safely (training provided)
- HS diploma or comparable work experience
- Ability to work independently
- Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
- Comfortable with computers and basic data entry
- Ability to work under pressure
- Ability to lift up to 50lbs and perform warehouse physical tasks
Total Rewards
The compensation range for this position is $37,500.00 – $56,300.00, depending on experience. This position may be eligible for performance based bonus plan.
