2nd Shift Shipping Associate

Job Description

Ensure accurate and timely shipping operations to meet client orders and deadlines.

Shipping Associate

Manages the shipment and receipt of all products, materials, and supplies. Must be able to safely operate machinery with close proximity to pedestrians and other equipment. Promptly unloads trucks and deliveries in a safe manner. Maintains inventory by identifying, labeling, and placing materials and supplies in stock and recording the location of inventory. Carefully sort and stock receivables. Tracks, traces, and updates the status of incoming and outgoing shipments. Inspect and operate material handling equipment in a safe manner with zero to minimal damage to products and property. Identify unsafe conditions and existing damage to trucks. Must remain compliant with all OSHA regulated guidelines and complete all required safety training. Contributes to team effort by accomplishing tasks on time. Maintain 5s of container storage areas and warehouse. Ship products per client specific instructions. Other job duties as assigned.

Required qualifications include: 2 years forklift experience, loading/unloading trucks with various freight. Must be able to pass THC drug test and background check. Ability to understanding and follow verbal and written instructions and directions. Available for short notice and mandated overtime. Good written and verbal communication skills. Excellent organizational skills. Ability to work independently and in a team environment. Must be able to add, subtract, multiply and divide. Basic computer skills.

Physical requirements include standing for extended periods, use hands and fingers to handle or feel. The position may occasionally need to lift/pull up to 50 pounds and have specific vision abilities related to close and color vision. This job is performed in a highly fluid and changing environment. The position may be required to work overtime to meet deadlines and requirements.
