Job Description
Maintain continuous security coverage at the Honolulu cargo facility to protect personnel and assets.
AAC Security Guard
Ensure the safety and security of employees, vendors and customers and prevent damage to or loss of company and employee property.
Essential duties and responsibilities include the following (other duties may be assigned):
- Makes scheduled tours of facility and grounds by vehicle or walking to ensure security, and watches for conditions that could result in injury or loss due to fire, water leakage, spills etc.
- Reports to supervisor or police authorities any unusual or suspicious conditions detected.
- Reports to supervisor any incidence of visitor, driver, or employee actions which could result in injury or loss to company or employees.
- Monitors parking flow for customers and directs movement as required.
- Provide security at cargo gate and ensure proper ingress/egress of authorized personnel onto the Airport Operations Area (AOA).
- Other duties as assigned.
Minimum qualifications:
- Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug test, 5-year background check, 10-year criminal history check and security threat assessment.
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid vehicle operator's permit to drive security vehicle.
- Clear traffic abstract
- Ability to tolerate high noise conditions on in-facility tours and exposure to weather conditions on outside tours.
- Courteous manner in dealing with the public.
Compensation: This position has a starting range of $18 – $24 per hour.
