Assist in high school cafeteria meal prep and service while maintaining safety and cleanliness daily
Assistant Cook – High School
Handle lunch cards and ensure accountability and consistency with meal counts. Assist in preparation of food portions and prepares cafeteria counter as needed. Serve students and staff from the cafeteria counter as needed. Performs the daily cleaning of all kitchen equipment, and the washing and sterilizing of all dishes, silverware, and utensils as needed.
High school diploma. Knowledgeable of safety precautions regarding blood borne pathogens. Food certification / sanitation certificate required. Salary: per NBESS salary schedule. Starting pay $16.25 per hour (based on 2026-2027 salary schedule). There are no benefits for part-time positions. Apply online.
