Campus Security Aide
The Baldwin Park Unified School District is recruiting for a Campus Security Aide. Under the supervision of the site administrator, the Campus Security Aide will promote positive student behavior and patrol school sites. The employee will also enforce school, District rules, regulations, and policies for the safety and security of students, staff, and property. Requirements / Qualifications
Selection Process: The selection process tentatively consists of the District application review and interviews. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE Any combination equivalent to graduation from high school. Training or course work in crowd control, behavior modification techniques, or closely related field desired. One year experience working with targeted age students performing supervision and/or other appropriate related work experience desired. Campus Security Aide training as required by Education Code Section 38001.5. can be provided by the District Police Department. REQUIRED LICENSES AND/OR CERTIFICATES Possession of a valid and appropriate California Driver's License and maintain insurability by District's insurance carrier. Must obtain and provide the District with 1) a Standard First Aid Certificate 2) a C.P.R. Certificate, and 3) SB 390 certification of completion of Campus Security Aide training as required by Education Code 38001.5. These certificates are to be maintained throughout employment with the District. Preferences: • One (1) year experience working with juveniles/adolescents in school, security, or youth program settings. • Experience in both school and security environments • Knowledge of adolescent behavior and development • Training in crisis intervention or de-escalation techniques • Experience with diverse student populations • Bilingual skills Spanish/English The following documents must be submitted with your online application for interview consideration:
