Carts Associate

Help create a great shopping experience by assisting customers with loading purchases, maintaining shopping carts and other customer shopping tools, and supporting customer service operations throughout the store. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys staying active, working outdoors, and providing excellent customer service.

Assist customers with loading and unloading merchandise in the designated loading area.

Collect, organize, and replenish shopping carts, baby strollers, shopping bags, maps, pencils, twine, and other customer shopping tools throughout the store.

Maintain a clean and organized loading zone by removing cardboard, strapping, and excess carts.

Inspect shopping tools and equipment for safety and report any damaged or malfunctioning items.

Provide friendly customer service while resolving customer questions and concerns.

Support other customer service departments, including Full Serve Hand Out (FSHO), Returns & Exchanges, and Click & Collect, as needed.

Prepare and stage merchandise for customer pickup and returns.

Follow all IKEA safety, security, and operational procedures.

Previous customer service, retail, warehouse, or loading experience preferred.

Ability to frequently lift up to 50 pounds.

Ability to stand, walk, bend, and remain active throughout the shift.

Comfortable working outdoors for up to 50% of the workday.

Strong communication and problem-solving skills.

Reliable attendance and a positive, team-oriented attitude.
