CDL Driver/Production Assistant

Job Summary

Key Responsibilities:

General Tasks:

• Keep work area organized and clean
• Maintain inventory records and order stock parts

Driver:

• Conduct pre-trip inspections on vehicles
• Utilize forklifts to move pallets
• Load products on dry vans, in 40' high cube containers, flatbeds and tankers.
• Ensure loads are properly secured prior to movement
• Maintains electronic or paper log books in accordance to state and federal requirements
• Coordinates with site manager for any issues or delays
• Perform routine light maintenance on fleet and coordinate with third parties for majors
• Deliver product to customers or external warehouse
• Manage off-site inventory
• Ensure all paperwork is completed
• Conduct BIT inspections of vehicles

Production:

• Work directly with production and quality.
• Assists with monitoring production process equipment to maintain optimal specifications.
• Assists with making adjustments to the system as directed.
• Assists with maintaining a clean and safe work environment.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
• Must have the ability to operate a forklift and a skid-steer.
• Class A CDL w/tanker N&T endorsement
• Forklift certification (Imerys can provide)
• Spanish speaking a plus
• Familiarity with Cal OSHA regulations
• First Aid and CPR Training
• Ability to problem solve transportation issues
• Ability to work independently
• Basic computer skills including familiarity with Gmail and Google Drive
• Position requires lifting and moving up to 50lb
• Ability to work independently and as a team player.

Hourly Rate – $28 – $30
