CDL Truck Driver
IES Commercial, Inc. – DBA IES Electrical, seeking full-time CDL Truck Driver in Chester, Virginia.
Job Summary
- Safely operate an Flat Bed Truck in compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations.
- Transport goods to and from customer locations, distribution centers, or warehouses.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip inspections of the vehicle.
- Maintain accurate logs of working hours and vehicle service according to DOT and company standards.
- Secure cargo properly to prevent shifting or damage during transit.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch regarding scheduling, delays, and delivery updates.
- Follow assigned routes while adapting to traffic, weather, or road conditions.
- Perform basic vehicle maintenance checks and report mechanical issues promptly.
- Provide excellent customer service during pickups and deliveries.
- Ensure timely, accurate, and safe delivery of freight.
- Comply with all company and customer safety policies and procedures.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Drivers License (CDL)
- 2-5 years CDL driver experience
- Ability to work overtime
- High level of punctuality and reliability performance
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs.
- Ability to follow company vehicle and safety procedures and policies
- Ability to pass drug/alcohol tests as required
- Successfully pass pre-employment (post offer) background check and MVR check.
