Department: Cardiovascular Pre/Post Procedure

Location: Forsyth Medical Center

Schedule: 6am-6:30pm, Full-Time – 36 hours per week – No weekends/holidays

The Cardiovascular Pre/Post Procedure (CVPP) Unit is a specialized, fast-paced department where team members play an essential role in preparing patients for cardiac procedures and providing attentive care throughout their recovery. As a transitional unit, patients typically have short lengths of stay, with many recovering for just a few hours before returning home the same day. This creates a dynamic environment where no two days are the same and exceptional teamwork is key to delivering outstanding patient care.

  • Has 3-4 years of CNA experience

What You'll Do

Provides and documents assistance to patients with activities of daily living and maintenance of a safe and clean environment under the direction and supervision of a registered nurse.

  • Pre Procedure Patient Preparation
  • Taking vital signs
  • Monitoring
  • Fluid management
  • Assist with post Procedure movement

What We're Looking For

  • Education: High school diploma or GED, required.
  • Experience: One year, preferred. Assisted Living facilities only: One year experience working in long-term care or assisted living, required
  • Licensure/certification/registration: Completion of NAI program, required. Listed with the nurse aide registry as an NA I, required. Medication Safety – AME, required. NC state approved curricula for restrictive interventions (facility specific) within 3 months of hire for Emergency Departments and Behavioral Health units, required.
  • Additional skills preferred: Basic computer skills for documentation.
