Deliver daily customer orders and manage payments while maintaining compliance and safety paperwork.

Combo Driver

Essential Functions

  • Orders, delivers, stocks and rotates all products at customer locations according to established standards.
  • Invoices customers for sales, collects payment from customers (e.g. check, cash, money order) and secures payment in safe.
  • Maintains a good working relationship with customers; accounting and TDMs/VCMs at Pepsi; and other internal employees at Pepsi (e.g. warehouse employees, sales equipment employees).
  • Communicate with retailers and Pepsi management team on issues regarding pricing, products, programs and problems that arise in the store.
  • Responsible for the proper accounting of all products, shells and pallets (e.g. shells and pallets accurately accounted for and returned to facility).
  • Adheres to all company policies, standards and procedures (e.g. OSHA, DOT and safety requirements, AIB and Pepsi standards, Federal/State/Local laws).
  • Maintains and completes required paperwork (e.g. DOT logs, Missed Time Verification forms, time off requests, mileage logs, sales reports, invoices); maintains confidentiality of product pricing, customer key locations and other sensitive information.
  • Works assigned schedule, exhibits regular and predictable attendance and works overtime as required to meet workload demands. Performs other related duties as required.

Experience

  • 12-24 months of previous sales experience with a consumer product line and customer relations experience.

Certificates & Licenses

  • Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License

Additional Requirements

  • Employees must be insured to operate a vehicle, as a condition of initial and continued employment.
  • Must have completed training through the Utility Trainee Pool and currently be on a Combo Delivery or have had a minimum of twelve months previous experience on a Full Service, Tel-Sell, Combo, Express Delivery route.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50-100 pounds manually in a repetitive motion; and be able to push/pull up to 300 pounds
  • Must be able to stand, walk, sit, use hands to handle and feel, reach with hands or arms, stoop, crawl, kneel, crouch, climb, talk, hear, push, pull and lift overhead
  • Cannot have corrective action items, either current or in the past twelve months
  • Operate a motorized pallet jack and walkie rider
