Talent Acquisition Manager (Construction)
The Talent Acquisition Manager leads end-to-end recruiting for an assigned functional area, ensuring the attraction and successful recruitment of high-quality talent that supports the organization's Right People + Best Culture goals. This role partners closely with hiring managers, HR Business Partners, business leaders, and internal support services to manage the full life cycle of recruitment, from sourcing and screening through offer and hire. The Talent Acquisition Manager acts as a subject matter expert on talent acquisition practices, influences hiring teams to adopt best practices, and contributes to the broader human capital strategy while operating with a high level of professionalism and integrity.
Responsibilities
- Manage full life-cycle recruiting for a variety of roles within an assigned area of responsibility, from requisition intake through offer acceptance and onboarding handoff.
- Collaborate with HR Business Partners, hiring managers, and business leaders to drive talent processes and support the organization's human capital strategy.
- Oversee the selection process by identifying and assessing active and passive candidates, conducting pre-screens, coordinating and facilitating interviews, and leading debrief sessions with interview teams.
- Identify potential concerns or risks during the hiring process and proactively recommend solutions to ensure a successful hire.
- Utilize information gathered from candidates and hiring teams to recommend the most suitable candidates for specific openings.
- Market the organization and its employee benefits to candidates to position the company as an employer of choice.
- Influence hiring teams to adopt and consistently use the organization's hiring best practices, tools, and resources.
- Implement defined national and local talent acquisition strategies within the assigned business area.
- Maintain awareness of current hiring trends, competitor information, and employment market conditions, and apply these insights to recruiting strategies.
- Act as a subject matter expert and strategic partner for business leaders, developing collaborative relationships to improve talent acquisition operations.
- Partner with business leaders to develop sourcing strategies and solutions that build a strong pipeline of talent for emerging business needs and anticipated talent gaps.
- Make decisions on non-routine recruiting matters within established guidelines, provide recommendations to leadership, and escalate exceptions as appropriate.
- Ensure all recruiting activities are performed in alignment with the organization's strategy, vision, and values.
- Organize and manage multiple requisitions and projects simultaneously, meeting deadlines and maintaining a high level of accuracy and completeness in all work.
Essential Skills
- 5–8 years of progressive experience in recruiting or talent management.
- In-depth knowledge of talent acquisition practices, processes, and solutions, including sourcing, screening, selection, and offer management.
- Advanced verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to clearly convey business and technical information to diverse audiences.
- Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including tools for documentation, reporting, and presentations.
- Advanced organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver accurate, complete work in a timely manner.
- Ability to influence candidates at various stages of awareness about the organization and encourage them to consider a range of opportunities.
- Strong facilitation skills and the ability to foster and maintain collaborative relationships with internal customers, peers, and other stakeholders.
- Strong presentation skills, both verbal and written, to effectively represent the organization and its opportunities.
- Strong project management skills, including planning, organizing, and executing recruiting initiatives.
- Demonstrated ability to build relationships and collaborate within a team, both internally and externally.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Communications, or a related field (preferred).
- Relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a bachelor's degree.
- Experience acting as a trusted advisor or subject matter expert to business leaders on talent acquisition matters.
- Familiarity with current hiring trends, competitor landscapes, and broader employment market conditions.
- Ability to develop and execute sourcing strategies that address both immediate hiring needs and longer-term talent gaps.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract position based out of Atlanta, GA.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $50.00 – $55.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
