Delivery Worker – Ohio Pharmacy Services
This position is responsible for transporting, loading, unloading, and delivering pharmaceuticals, mail, office supplies, controlled drugs, and other materials on scheduled local and statewide routes. The position ensures timely and accurate deliveries, maintains accountability of transported items, performs basic vehicle maintenance coordination, and assists with mailroom and recordkeeping functions while operating vehicles safely in varying weather and traffic conditions.
Key responsibilities include:
- Operating 24 – 26 foot box trucks, cargo vans, and light trucks to transport pharmaceuticals, controlled substances, mail, payroll, office supplies, and other materials on scheduled delivery routes.
- Loading, unloading, securing, and verifying deliveries to ensure accurate transportation and accountability of merchandise and materials.
- Maintaining daily delivery schedules and safely operating vehicles in adverse weather and traffic conditions.
- Performing minor vehicle maintenance checks and reporting vehicle malfunctions or repair needs to supervisory staff.
- Maintaining records related to deliveries, mail, equipment, cargo, supplies, and delivery documentation while assisting with mailroom.
This is an hourly position covered by the OCSEA/AFSCME bargaining unit (union), with a pay range of $20.85 per hour. Normal working hours are Monday through Friday, 5:30am to 3:30pm. This position is located within our Ohio Pharmacy Services at 2150 West Broad St., Columbus, Ohio 43223.

Position qualifications include formal education in arithmetic and reading, writing, and speaking English; a valid driver's license. Must demonstrate strength to lift up to 75lbs. Official transcripts are required for all post-secondary education, coursework, or degrees listed on the application.
