Kaiyo is a Nikkei restaurant and rooftop bar in SoMa, bringing together Japanese and Peruvian cuisine in one of San Francisco's most unique dining spaces. We're looking for servers who take hospitality seriously and want to be part of a team that's building something special. DOOR SECURITY HOST – Kaiyo Rooftop | San Francisco Kaiyo Rooftop is one of San Francisco's most distinctive bar experiences – twelve floors up with sweeping views and a cocktail program that's earned national recognition. We're looking for a Door Security Host who can hold the line with confidence while making every guest feel genuinely welcome. This role is about more than security. You are the first and last impression of the rooftop experience.

What the role looks like:

• Managing the door and controlling capacity for the rooftop bar
• Checking IDs and ensuring compliance with all applicable laws
• Handling difficult situations with calm, professionalism, and authority
• Communicating with the floor team to manage flow and wait times
• Creating a welcoming atmosphere while maintaining a safe environment

What we're looking for:

• Prior experience in door, security, or crowd management preferred
• Someone who commands respect without creating conflict
• Professional, composed, and genuinely personable
• Ability to work evenings, weekends, and event nights
• Valid Guard Card preferred but not required
• Must be able to work Saturday and Sunday shifts
