Role:
Supports Employee Services in the Human Resources functions by performing a variety of duties in an environment that models Rogue Credit Union's culture and values to internal members, job applicants and community partners. Works in conjunction with the department to support Rogue's Vision, Mission, and Values in the day-to-day operations. Provides administrative and clerical support, maintaining employee records, assisting with recruitment and onboarding processes, and ensuring compliance with legal signage and credit union guidelines and procedures.
Essential Functions & Responsibilities:
20% Provides general administrative support including but not limited to phone and email correspondence, completing expense reports, maintaining records, filing, and data entry. Composes/develops letters, documents and/or reports, audits and edit other's work, etc. Utilizes Human Capital Management (HCM) software to input personnel information and onboard employees.
20% Supports Employee Services team with confidential employee interactions, documentation and other direct assistance while maintaining a calm, professional demeanor. Maintains privacy of individuals in a highly confidential department while ensuring management is apprised of situations as needed.
20% Assists with recruitment; posting job openings, screening, interviews, drug screens, background checks and other related tasks. Assists with payroll related tasks and data entry. Assists with benefits inquiries including enrollment, changes, and responding to employee questions.
15% Completes a variety of tasks regarding company vehicles, condominiums, hotel stays, etc. while prioritizing best use. Ensures all tasks assigned are completed in a timely manner and proactively streamlines all actions. Communicates details with employees to ensure an exceptional experience.
15% Proactively stays updated on all Employee Services procedures and guidelines. This includes but not limited to Wellness, Benefits, Payroll and Recruitment. Responds to internal and external inquiries with friendly, helpful, and enthusiastic service. Ensures prompt and accurate follow through.
10% Proactively performs other duties as needed or assigned.
Knowledge & Skills:
Experience: One year to three years of similar or related experience.
Education: A high school education or GED.
Interpersonal Skills: Work involves much personal contact with others inside and/or outside the organization for the purpose of first-level conflict resolution, building relationships, and soliciting cooperation. Discussions involve a higher degree of confidentiality and discretion, requiring diplomacy and tact in communication.
Other Skills: Has excellent organizational and time management skills. Possesses excellent communication skills with the ability to create rapport. Requires good keyboarding skills with proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook. Requires good composition/editing skills with an eye for quality and accuracy. Must be able to learn the credit union's policies and procedures. Has good judgment with the ability to work in a confidential environment. Can work independently with limited supervision. Is resourceful at problem solving. Valid driver's license with the ability to drive or access alternative transportation.
Physical Requirements: Some adjusting or moving objects up to 30 pounds in all directions. Must be able to remain in a stationary position, often standing or sitting for prolonged periods. Repeating motions that may include the wrists, hands and/or fingers while using computer. Communicating with others to exchange information. Perceiving the nature of sounds at normal speaking levels or without correction. Ability to receive detailed information through oral communication as needed. Close and continuous visual acuity to perform activities such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures, transcribing, viewing a computer terminal and extensive reading.
Work Environment: May require working occasional weekends or evening hours; otherwise, normal workday with occasional overtime. Office environment with some outside work related to events, managing resources, or transporting materials. Exposed to potentially hazardous conditions, i.e., robbery. Travel to the credit union facilities/regions may be required and a valid drivers license must be maintained.
