Employment Specialist
The Employment Specialist position provides employment assistance to job-ready disabled Veterans within an assigned VARO. The incumbent will oversee the activities of job readiness, job seeking services, job development, and job placement that entails consideration of diverse state, regional and local employment laws, and regulations.
Market to employers based on vocational goals of job-ready disabled Veterans and coordinate outreach at career events, Coordinate employment readiness classes and job clubs for Veterans, Maintain and update a database of job-ready Veterans and track outcomes, Assist Veterans with job networking, development, and placement and serve as initial point of contact for employers, Develop partnerships with employers and agencies to facilitate employment services
