Environmental Technician I
Join Orlando Health's Environmental Services team and help create a safe, clean, and healing environment for patients, visitors, and team members. As an Environmental Technician I, you will play a critical role in infection prevention, patient satisfaction, and maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness throughout our healthcare facilities.
What You'll Do:
- Clean and disinfect patient rooms, bathrooms, hallways, public areas, and other assigned spaces
- Support patient throughput by completing timely room turnovers for admissions and discharges
- Remove trash, soiled linen, and bio-medical waste
- Replenish supplies and change curtains as needed
- Operate cleaning equipment and UV disinfection machines
- Follow infection prevention, PPE, and safety protocols
- Utilize department technology systems, including Bed Management systems
- Report maintenance and safety concerns
- Deliver excellent customer service to patients, families, and team members
- Support departmental quality improvement initiatives
Qualifications:
Education: No minimum education requirement
Experience: No experience required. Experience in environmental services, hospitality, housekeeping, healthcare support services, or a related field is preferred.
Licensure/Certification: None required
