Forklift Operator

The role involves assisting with the loading and unloading of up to three trucks per night. Responsibilities include picking orders, learning to operate an overhead crane, and supporting the Lead. Additional tasks encompass picking and staging feedstock for fulfillment orders, breaking down bulk bundles for customer-specific orders, and packaging materials according to customer requirements. Operating a sit-down or side loader forklift to move material as needed is required. You will also ensure proper completion of paperwork and SAP work order confirmation for shipping and receiving on the computer, and contribute to maximum productivity for finished goods creation. All other duties as assigned may change at any time with or without notice.

Responsibilities

• Assist with loading and unloading up to three trucks per night.
• Pick orders and learn to operate an overhead crane.
• Support the Lead with various tasks.
• Pick and stage feedstock for fulfillment orders.
• Break down bulk bundles for customer-specific orders.
• Package material according to customer requirements.
• Operate a sit-down or side loader forklift to move material.
• Complete paperwork and SAP work order confirmation for shipping and receiving.
• Maintain maximum productivity for finished goods creation.

Essential Skills

• 2+ years of forklift operating experience.
• 1+ year of side forklift experience.
• 6+ months of overhead crane experience (preferred, not necessary).
• Experience in production, inventory, packing, pallet jack, shipping and receiving, order picking, reach truck, and stand-up forklift.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of similar job experience preferred.
• Regular attendance is required.
• Basic math skills.
• Basic computer skills or comfort using a computer.
• Physical ability to pass a physical requirements exam for vision, hearing, and mobility.

Work Environment

This role is on the 3rd shift, from 00:30 to 09:00. The dress code requires wearing jeans and a proper work tee shirt without offensive logos. Personal protective equipment such as steel toe boots, hard hats, gloves, and cut-resistant sleeves will be provided. Candidates should be prepared to lift up to 50 pounds, with heavier items requiring a team lift or equipment.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of OMAHA, NE.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $19.00 – $20.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
