Prepare meals and cashier duties for patient services and hospital cafeteria operations

Cook I

Reporting to the Food and Nutrition Services Director, Cook I is expected to perform a variety of food service-related duties according to all the standards, policies, and procedures applicable to Redlands Community Hospital. This position is responsible for food preparation, set-up, and serving of food for patient services, cafeteria and catering, cafeteria food preparation and service, stocking areas, washing dishes, and cashier duties. All foods produced must be prepared according to a recipe or procedure, cash handling must comply with all required policies and controls.

EDUCATION/TRAINING/EXPERIENCE:

  • High School Education or Equivalent, preferred.
  • Food Service or Food Production and Cashier experience preferred.
  • Basic Computer Skills/Data Entry, preferred.

CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSES:

1. Food Handler's Card issued by San Bernardino County required

For the Flexible Schedule position, anticipated 2 days per week (16 hours), mostly on Saturdays and Sundays, additional hours may be available per department needs.
