Own end-to-end inventory control and warehouse operations at the Forney distribution center.
Inventory Control Manager
As a highly valued member of the Forney, TX team, this position is responsible for managing and tracking inventory levels to ensure efficient operations. Oversee the receiving, storage, and shipping of goods, maintain accurate records, and reconcile inventory discrepancies. This role also involves developing and implementing inventory control procedures, monitoring stock levels, and reporting on inventory status, ensuring that all inbound and/or outbound shipments are accurate and timely.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor and maintain optimal stock levels, track inventory movement (in and out), and manage storage and organization of goods within the distribution center.
- Receive incoming shipments, verify quantities against purchase orders, and properly store items in designated locations.
- Ensure accurate and timely picking, packing, and shipping of customer orders, and coordinating with other departments (e.g., logistics, customer service) as needed.
- Maintain accurate inventory records, including receiving reports, cycle counts, and other relevant documentation.
- Investigate and resolve discrepancies between physical inventory and system records.
- Generate regular inventory reports, analyze data, and identify trends or potential issues.
- Develop and implement strategies to improve inventory control processes, increase efficiency, and minimize errors.
- Follow all safety regulations and warehouse protocols, ensuring a safe working environment.
