Material Handler II

The Material Handler is responsible for coordinating inventory movements, shipping and receiving activities, discrepancy analysis, and ensuring accurate material flow within the Calexico, California warehouse. This position requires strong SAP expertise, hands-on execution in a fast-paced environment, and excellent customer service orientation. The Material Handler will support cross-border logistics operations and maintain high standards of inventory and material accuracy and operational efficiency.

Familiar with US/Mexico Customs Regulations and Processes

Responsible for the physical and administrative tasks involved in the storing and distributing of materials, parts, supplies and equipment. Distribution can include the driving of a company truck to transport materials.

Examines, stocks, and kits materials in inventory and on manufacturing lines. Prepares kitting packages for assembly production, service repair, and sales orders.

Performs daily cycle counts, posts inventory counts as applicable, and helps resolve discrepancies.

Maintain real-time inventory records in SAP and/or WMS.

Support incoming material processes including inspection, verification, documentation, and system accuracy updates.

Ensures the security and accountability of materials and goods with inventory control.

Responds to requests & inquiries quickly and professionally.

Primarily works in a manufacturing environment which may be noisy and fast paced. Because of the nature of the product being produced, high voltage and current conditions exist and appropriate precautions must be observed.

Proficient SAP user and the ability to apply logistics processes

Ability to present ideas in a clear and persuasive manner, both orally and in writing.

Capability to respond quickly, decisively, assertively, and professionally to changing requirements in demand, product description, and material demand.

Ability to work in a dynamic, high-volume warehouse environment.

Knowledge of FIFO methodology, cycle counting, and inventory integrity controls.

Solid skills in discrepancy analysis, problem resolution, and inventory adjustments.

Strong organizational skills.

Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience.

Working knowledge of material handling and logistics systems, with advanced proficiency in SAP to support accurate inventory transactions and material flow.

Experience with shipping and receiving operations, documentation flow, and transactional accuracy.

Experience with incoming inspections and accuracy validation of received goods.

Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift moderate loads as part of daily warehouse activities.

High School Diploma or GED.

The range of starting pay for this role is $24.00 to $ 27.00 per hour.
