Material Handler-Truck Driver

Direct Hire Shift: 4 days / 10 hours, 7a-5p, 8a-6p Pay Rate: $20-23/hr

What's a typical day as a Material Handler-Truck Driver? You'll be:

  • Transferring materials to and from the warehouse area, production floor, and other plants using staging areas
  • Loading, unloading, and driving materials to offsite warehouses and subcontractors
  • Examining shipments for damage and verifying accuracy against records such as manifests and invoices
  • Supporting the warehouse team during peak times and staff shortages
  • Keeping the yard clean and organized and maintaining the company truck
  • Communicating with purchasing, quality, and sales to resolve issues like damages or shortages
  • Recording daily hi-lo and truck check sheets and utilizing SAP as needed
  • Following all company and regulatory safety and quality standards
  • Completing all necessary paperwork, tracking, tagging, and shipping documentation
  • Driving a company 24' box truck for daily and weekly routes

This job might be an outstanding fit if you:

  • Have a minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar material handling/truck driving role (must have)
  • Currently possess an unexpired Chauffeur License and can maintain an unrestricted license throughout employment (must have)
  • Can pass annual DVR and DOT testing requirements (must have)
  • Have at least 2 years of forklift experience and are willing to become licensed by the client within 30 days of placement (must have)
  • Are computer literate and have strong knowledge of trucking and material handling
  • Are detail-oriented, neat, and organized
  • Are able to work overtime as required and comfortable working in environments with noise, cramped spaces, and the need for personal protective equipment
  • Can perform the physical requirements of the job, including bending, twisting, kneeling, crouching, and working with tools and equipment
