Medical Assistant
Location: Pinellas Park, FL 33781 Duration: 13 Weeks Contract Schedule: Days, 5x8hrs, 40 hrs. weekly
Job Summary: Medical Assistant with strong back-office clinical experience to support physicians and nurses in an outpatient clinic. The ideal candidate will provide direct patient care, perform clinical procedures, and assist with administrative tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Welcome and assist patients during clinic visits.
- Record patient history, symptoms, and update Electronic Medical Records (EMR).
- Take and record vital signs.
- Perform phlebotomy (blood draws) and collect lab specimens.
- Administer injections and perform basic diagnostic tests.
- Prepare, clean, and sterilize medical equipment and exam rooms.
- Work closely with physicians and nurses to deliver quality patient care.
- Complete administrative tasks and maintain accurate patient documentation.
Required Experience and Qualification:
- 1–3 years of Medical Assistant experience
- Active CMA or RMA Certification
- Current CPR or BLS Certification
- Phlebotomy experience (Required)
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Basic computer skills and experience with MS Outlook
- Experience working in a fast-paced, high-volume clinic
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Willing to complete a Tuberculosis (TB) screening if selected
