Job Description
Provide outpatient cardiology medical assistance across travel assignment locations.
Medical Assistant – Cardiology
Schedule: Days: Monday–Friday Shift Type: Day shift Shift Times: 08:00–16:30
Requirements:
- Certification: Medical Assistant — Certified (MA-C) is required; Registered (MA-R) will not be accepted.
- Clinical experience: Minimum of 6 months recent experience as a Medical Assistant in an adult outpatient setting is required; cardiology clinic experience is preferred.
- Charting system: Experience with EPIC is required.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Rooming patients and taking vital signs.
- Performing specimen labeling and basic specimen collection tasks.
- Preparing charts and completing basic documentation.
- Scheduling appointments and handling front-office tasks.
- Verifying insurance.
Compliance / Notes:
- A compact state license must be in hand at submission.
- Two references required, covering one year within the last three years.
- Pre-start modules required (average of 16 hours).
- May be required to work 3 out of 5 holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, NYE, New Year's Day).
- Scrub color/attire: To be determined.
