Shift Differentials:
- Evening – $3.00/hour
- Night – $5.00/hour
- Weekend – $4.50/hour
Premiums:
- Per Diem – 15% (on rate of pay, in lieu of benefits)
- Lead – $3.25/hour
- On-Call – $3.00/hour
- Preceptor – $1.50/hour
- Trainer – $1.50/hour
Job Description
The Medical Assistant – Certified provides clinical, clerical, and administrative tasks in an OMP outpatient clinic. Under the supervision and direction of a provider (physician or advanced practice clinician) or Medical Office Nurse Coordinator, the certified Medical Assistant performs duties that are consistent with his/her Medical Assistant education, training, experience and certification.
Education
High school diploma/GED required
Completion of Medical Assistant program accredited or approved by the Washington Department of Health required
Experience
One year of experience in health care in an outpatient clinic preferred (experience specific to the type of clinic being hired for is preferred)
Licensure/Credentials
Basic Life Support (BLS) required within 30 days of hire.
Current Medical Assistant – Certification issued by the WA State Department of Health. Status can be "approved," "interim" (subject to passing the required state-approved examination within 12 months or less of the date the interim certification was issued) or "pending" (acceptable for the first 30 days of position only).
