Medical Equipment Technician

Our client is seeking a Medical Equipment Technician to join their team. As a Medical Equipment Technician, you will be part of the service department supporting the maintenance and repair of vital biomedical equipment. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, mechanical aptitude, and a proactive approach to service and troubleshooting, which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Medical Equipment Technician

Location: Grand Rapids, MI

Pay Range: $19/hr

Shift: 7am-4pm Monday through Friday

What's the Job?

  • Diagnose issues and faults with a variety of biomedical equipment, including life support ventilators and respiratory devices.
  • Perform regular preventive maintenance checks, repairs, and updates to ensure safety and performance standards are met.
  • Verify the functionality of equipment post-service to ensure reliability and accuracy.
  • Maintain detailed records of all services, tests, and repairs conducted.
  • Stay updated with the latest developments and best practices in the biomedical equipment industry to provide top-tier service.

What's Needed?

  • Background in machine or small motor repair, with a focus on troubleshooting and maintenance.
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Military veterans with MOS in repair or maintenance fields are encouraged to apply.
  • Some training in IT, cell phone, or small motor repair is advantageous.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, demonstrating strong communication skills.
