Human Resources – Recruiting Coordinator
Pay Rate: $17.86/hr on W2 Work Setup: Hybrid (2 days onsite {Tuesdays and Wednesdays}, 3 days remote) Location: One Nationwide Plaza, Columbus, OH Contract: 5 months contract (possible contract extension or conversion to FTE depending on performance, attendance, and business needs) Benefits: Health, Vision, and Dental
Position Overview: The Recruiting Coordinator will support the University Recruiting team by providing comprehensive coordination throughout the recruitment lifecycle. This role requires exceptional organizational skills, strong attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will have prior talent acquisition or human resources experience and familiarity with applicant tracking systems such as Workday and Fieldglass.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver a positive candidate experience throughout the recruitment process.
- Coordinate and schedule interviews while ensuring hiring teams have all necessary candidate information and interview materials.
- Manage candidate travel arrangements, expense reimbursements, and onsite candidate logistics.
- Register for recruiting events, prepare career fair materials, and coordinate shipment of event supplies.
- Maintain job postings on external diversity and university recruiting job boards.
- Facilitate onboarding activities within Workday, including background checks, I-9 processing, and related documentation.
- Support and mentor team members on recruiting processes and best practices as needed.
- Partner with internal teams on process improvements, research initiatives, and special projects.
- Administer confidential background screening and licensing processes.
- Process, review, track, and approve departmental invoices.
Qualifications:
- Undergraduate degree, associate degree, or equivalent work experience preferred.
- 1–3 years of recruiting, human resources, administrative support, or related experience.
- Experience managing calendars, scheduling interviews, or supporting multiple stakeholders is preferred.
- Familiarity with applicant tracking systems such as Workday, Fieldglass, or similar platforms is a plus.
- Basic understanding of recruiting and onboarding processes.
- Strong communication, organizational, and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively.
