Winthrop Position Title – Office Assistant RLO 26/27

Job Purpose – The purpose of the Administrative Student Assistant is to accomplish some of the administrative and office tasks necessary for the successful operation of the Residence Life Program. By assisting with the workloads assigned to the Residence Life Supervisor, the office may better address the needs of Residence Life staff, students and the university community.

Duties and Responsibilities – Answer office phone; transfer calls, take messages by phone and in person. Schedule appointments as necessary. Check the departmental mail box in the Residence Life Office; organize and distribute mail. Make deliveries to various campus offices. Make copies in the Residence Life Office and distribute as necessary. Complete and process various correspondences such as forms, memos, space requests, and email. Submit incident information using Maxient. Maintain an accurate time sheet through Wingspan, submitting before Payroll deadlines. Maintain and record information for the issuing and processing of procurement card requests. Assist in maintaining budget records for various Residence Life student organizations. Process billing and billing statements as needed. Move storage items as necessary, within the scope of student's physical abilities. Conduct various inventories of residence hall supplies as needed. Maintain a clean and neat work environment. Work in cooperation and coordination with other departments on campus. Other duties or special projects as needed.

Qualifications – Must be able to handle confidential information in a professional manner.

Pay Rate – 9.00/hr
