Kimberton Whole Foods Perishable Team Member
Kimberton Whole Foods in Collegeville is hiring for a part-time Perishable Team Member!
Availability: Part-time, up to 24 hours per week.
Schedule: 2 weekday evenings from 3pm-8:30pm and one weekend shift weekly
Age Requirement: Must be 16 years or older
Hourly Pay: $15.00 – $17.00
Benefits: Part-time team members are eligible for a 15% store discount after 60 days and a 401K with matching 3% after one year and 1000 hours worked.
The Perishable Team Member's Primary Responsibilities:
- Provides exceptional customer service to all.
- Receives and stocks all incoming refrigerated/frozen items, fresh bakery items and specialty products.
- Stocks and handles product following guidelines for time and temperature demands
- Rotates backstock on a first-in first-out basis
- Works in collaboration with the Perishable Department Head to maintain accurate and up-to-date product signage throughout the department
- Follows the established practices for maintaining abundant, dynamic, and fresh displays
- Adheres to KWF inventory management practices
- Assists in other areas of the store as needed
Requirements
- Full sense range (vision, hearing, and sense of smell) – the ability to read product labels, distinguish color & smell for quality control as well as the ability to communicate with the customers and co-workers.
- Lifting, gripping, and carrying objects – up to 50-75 pounds frequently, including boxes, cans, tools and other products.
- Stooping, squatting, & kneeling – stoop and maneuver to pick up boxes from shelving and carts.
- Walking – short distances to bring items from miscellaneous areas.
- Standing- prolonged standing.
- Work environment – movement based with the majority of time being in motion (walking & standing) rather that sedentary (sitting).
- Climate – ability to work in cold environments (cooler, Freezer, back stock area) and handle cold products for extended periods of time on a regular basis.
