The role of the Registration/Checkout Clerk reports to the Clinic Manager. This position is responsible for overseeing the activities of the front office.

Essential Position Responsibilities

  • Engage with customers, patients, guests, and coworkers in a positive and professional manner
  • Communicate clearly and effectively with patients, clinic staff, and providers
  • Perform office and administrative duties in an effective and efficient manner
    • Schedule appointments
    • Register patients
    • Collect co-payments and deductibles
    • Verify insurance eligibility

Qualifications

  • Education: High school diploma or GED
  • Licensure and Certifications: N/A
  • Experience: Previous experience in a clerical support role, preferred.

Work Environment: This position will spend 80% of work time sitting while performing work in a standard office environment and 20% of work time standing and/or walking short distances while occasionally pushing, pulling, lifting and/or carrying up to 50 lbs.
