Security Officer Access Badge Patrol
As a Security Officer Access Badge Patrol in Santa Cruz, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed patrol officer in a healthcare location, where you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, and remain visible to help deter security-related incidents. Pay Rate: $30.00 / Hour
Job Schedule:
Day Time Wed 02:00 PM – 10:30 PM
Thur 02:00 PM – 10:30 PM
Fri 02:00 PM – 10:30 PM
Sat 02:00 PM – 10:30 PM
What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to staff, patients, visitors, and/or vendors by carrying out site-specific procedures, access-related policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities in a healthcare location.
- Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with supervisors and/or local responders as needed.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential security-related concerns.
- Monitor entrances, exits, waiting areas, and other designated locations, assisting with visitor direction, access control practices, and reporting unusual activity.
- Support a professional environment by following post orders, assisting with de-escalation when appropriate, and maintaining awareness of site conditions that may impact staff, patients, and/or visitors.
Minimum Requirements:
- At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
- Proof of a high school diploma or GED is required by the client.
- Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
- CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred.
- A guard card and/or license is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
