Sheet Metal Mechanic
Tradesmen International is immediately hiring experienced Sheet Metal Mechanics for projects located in the Knoxville, TN area. This is a first shift opportunity, and the pay rate is up to $32/hour based on experience and skill level. Job Scope:
- Measure and mark dimensions on sheet metal for fabrication and installation
- Cut, shape, and prepare metal to meet project specifications
- Drill, rivet, bolt, and assemble sheet metal components
- Install fabricated sheet metal and HVAC components on commercial construction projects
- Make field modifications and adjustments as needed to ensure proper fit and installation
- Read and interpret blueprints, shop drawings, and project specifications
- Safely operate hand tools, power tools, and equipment used in sheet metal work
- Follow OSHA regulations and all jobsite safety requirements
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
Requirements:
- 3+ years of commercial sheet metal experience
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and construction drawings
- Experience measuring, cutting, fabricating, and installing sheet metal components
- Strong knowledge of commercial construction practices and safety standards
- Must provide your own basic sheet metal tools and required PPE
