Sheet Metal Mechanic

Tradesmen International is immediately hiring experienced Sheet Metal Mechanics for projects located in the Knoxville, TN area. This is a first shift opportunity, and the pay rate is up to $32/hour based on experience and skill level. Job Scope:

  • Measure and mark dimensions on sheet metal for fabrication and installation
  • Cut, shape, and prepare metal to meet project specifications
  • Drill, rivet, bolt, and assemble sheet metal components
  • Install fabricated sheet metal and HVAC components on commercial construction projects
  • Make field modifications and adjustments as needed to ensure proper fit and installation
  • Read and interpret blueprints, shop drawings, and project specifications
  • Safely operate hand tools, power tools, and equipment used in sheet metal work
  • Follow OSHA regulations and all jobsite safety requirements
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area

Requirements:

  • 3+ years of commercial sheet metal experience
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and construction drawings
  • Experience measuring, cutting, fabricating, and installing sheet metal components
  • Strong knowledge of commercial construction practices and safety standards
  • Must provide your own basic sheet metal tools and required PPE
