Own end-to-end packing, labeling, and shipping of customer orders in Wallingford, CT
Shipping and Receiving
Location: Wallingford, CT
Pay Rate: $20–22/hr (Based on Experience) (adjust if different)
Type: 6-Month Contract-to-Hire (Temp-to-Perm)
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM
Position Overview
We are seeking a dependable person to support both the Shipping and RF (Receiving/Final Packaging) departments. This position will split time approximately 50/50 between shipping responsibilities and RF operations, assisting with closing, packaging, and preparing customer orders for shipment. This is a hands-on role requiring strong attention to detail and the ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare, package, label, and ship outgoing customer orders.
- Assist in the department by closing and packaging completed orders.
- Verify products, quantities, and shipping documentation for accuracy.
- Maintain accurate shipping and inventory records.
- Operate shipping software, scanners, and other warehouse equipment.
- Ensure products are packaged according to company and customer specifications.
- Coordinate with production and quality teams to meet shipping deadlines.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Support both Shipping and RF departments as workload demands.
Skills & Qualifications
- Previous shipping, warehouse, or manufacturing experience preferred.
- Experience packaging and preparing products for shipment.
- Basic computer skills and familiarity with shipping software or ERP systems.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and stand for extended periods.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in an electronics or manufacturing environment.
- Forklift or pallet jack experience is a plus.
- Familiarity with inventory control and shipping documentation.
