Spa Host
Juniper Preserve, located in Bend, OR, is pleased to announce an excellent career opportunity for a Spa Host! We are seeking a driven individual who is eager to learn, contribute, and grow within a fast-paced hospitality-focused property organization. The Spa Host is responsible for orienting guests to the spa facilities, greeting guests as they enter the facilities and providing exceptional personal guest service. This includes answering phone calls, assisting guests with questions regarding spa services and retail products, scheduling of spa appointments, checking the guest into the computer system and charging for services performed. Responsible for keeping the lounge areas neat, clean and stocked with all amenities.
Essential duties and responsibilities:
- Issue spa lockers, robes and slippers to guests and then escort guests to the relaxation room.
- Provide orientation, tour, explaining spa amenities offered and answering guest's questions.
- Maintain a safe, clean and well-organized spa environment through consistent monitoring of the locker/facility area.
- Stock locker room supplies and amenities and maintain accurate supply lists and inventory sheets.
- Review spa appointments regularly
- Actively promote the spa, treatments, services, sessions and retail, as well as programs, promotion and/or discounts available.
- Spa hosts are required to provide exceptional customer service and maintain timely responses to guest inquiries.
- Spa hosts are required to keep a clean workspace, including maintaining the cleanliness of the retail display areas.
- Handle guests' questions and concerns professionally and courteously.
- Develop the ability to work without constant direct supervision and remain at assigned post for extended periods of time.
- Maintain a positive attitude and contribute toward a quality work environment.
- Regularly attend, participate in and support training and staff meetings for the spa.
- Assist in all areas of spa operation as requested by management.
- Communicate to management any and all occurrences involving staff or guests in the spa that require attention.
- In charge of booking and checking out all Spa appointments during your shift.
- Full knowledge of the Spa menu and able to verbally explain each service.
- Possess full knowledge of Spa computer software for POS and scheduling.
- Closing Spa software at the end of day with closing reports and tickets for each technician.
- Perform opening and closing tasks diligently. Follow all protocols accurately.
- Assisting in flipping treatment rooms and restocking the backbar.
- Accurate money handling responsibility.
- Make confirmation calls 24 hours in advance, informing guests of the cancellation policy.
- Drop linen to housekeeping regularly and check on clean linen.
- Checking shipment area for arriving packages.
Qualifications required:
- 1-2 years of customer service experience, with preference given to those with experience in the spa or hospitality industry.
- Must be computer literate to a level sufficient enough to conduct the tasks required.
- The ability to use spreadsheets and knowledge of Microsoft Windows and Office needed.
