Job Summary
Drives diesel-powered tractor trailer combination to transport live poultry, transport trailers of raw materials between company facilities, jockey trailers on property, and transport finished poultry products, or any combination assigned by Manager.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Other duties may be assigned.
- Ability to log in compliance to DOT regulations.
- Self-Starter
- Ability to pre and post trip equipment
- Excellent communication skills with ability to speak the English language.
- Proficient reading, writing skills, and simple mathematics.
- Excellent attendance and safety record.
- Must be able to follow instructions, be very flexible and work independently.
- Ability to handle road situations when they occur.
- Ability to operate forklift.
Education and/or Experience
Must have a valid Class A Driver's License
High school diploma or GED equivalent; or minimum of 2 years of experience.
Drive diesel-powered tractor trailer combinations to transport live poultry, raw materials, and finished poultry products between company facilities, Jockey trailers on property and operate forklift as needed, Log daily trip and vehicle/driver compliance with DOT regulations, Maintain timely and safe deliveries with strong communication and safety, Follow instructions, maintain excellent attendance and safety record
