Van Driver/ Transportation Specialist

Full Time Tuesday- Saturday

What you'll do:

  • Safely transport residents to and from appointments and hospital visits
  • Schedule medical and follow-up appointments promptly
  • Communicate appointment details to residents and primary contacts
  • Arrange alternate transportation when needed
  • Ensure all required documents accompany residents and return updates to nursing staff
  • Maintain cleanliness and upkeep of the transport vehicle (fuel, maintenance, registration)
  • Follow all safety protocols when operating vehicles and equipment
  • Assist with loading/unloading and securing wheelchairs
  • Refrain from cell phone use while driving company vehicles
  • Maintain professional communication with staff and external partners

What we're looking for:

  • Must be age 25 or older
  • Valid driver's license with clean driving record (copy required)
  • Reliable, organized, and able to manage a flexible schedule
  • Professional appearance and dependable attendance
  • Ability to read, write, and speak English
  • Lift up to 100 lbs. and push/move 200+ lbs. (including wheelchairs on ramps)
  • Stand or walk for extended periods
  • May be exposed to bodily fluids and communicable illnesses
  • High school diploma (or equivalent)
  • CNA certification and medical transport experience preferred
  • Experience working with elderly residents is a plus
